Christmas Carol Aloe is a stunning compact succulent known for its dark green leaves covered with bright red spines and textured white spots. Under bright light, the red color becomes more vibrant, giving it a festive look. It is a slow-growing, low-maintenance plant that is perfect for indoor décor, tabletops, and succulent collections.
Christmas Carol Aloe grows best in bright indirect light to full sun.
It needs at least 4–6 hours of sunlight daily to maintain its deep green color and red spines. Low light may reduce the red pigmentation.
This plant prefers warm temperatures between 18°C to 30°C.
It thrives in low humidity and does not require misting. Protect it from frost and extremely cold conditions.
Use well-draining cactus or succulent soil.
A mix of potting soil + sand + perlite works best.
Always plant in a pot with proper drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Christmas Carol Aloe is drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering.
Allow the soil to dry completely between watering.
Water deeply but infrequently, about once every 10–15 days in summer and reduce watering in winter.
Feed with a diluted succulent fertilizer once a month during the active growing season (spring and summer). Avoid overfeeding.
This plant can be propagated through:
Offsets (pups) – Separate small pups from the base and replant
Leaf cuttings (less common but possible)
Remove dry or damaged leaves from the base to keep the plant neat.
Minimal pruning is required.
Generally pest-resistant, but occasionally may get:
Mealybugs
Scale insects
Treat with neem oil spray or rubbing alcohol.
